In the Tudor Room at the Fox n Hounds. We'll start at 1.30 pm to leave plenty of time for those who might like to eat lunch before hand. This is the Saturday afternoon KaraUkey session at the Fox and Hounds English/Irish replica pub set in the countryside at Wongawallan. The pub has loads of character and features lots of unique British paraphernalia, has cold ale on tap, and serves good food. I'll be there from 12 noon to discuss all things ukulele. we will start the session after lunch at 1.30 pm, stopping for a short break (20 mins) at 2.30 and finishing at around 3.30 pm. The words and chords will be projected on to a big screen as usual. The Songs we play will vary, with some fairly easy songs for newbies and a few more challenging songs for others. For complete beginners it will help if you know the C F and G7 chords, then add G, D, A7 and C7. There is a set of beginners sing along videos available at http://www.karaUkey.com that will introduce you to the Ukulele and the basics of playing. KaraUkey songs and song books are also available on the website together with the list of KaraUkey songs that our playlists come from. http://www.karaukey.com/select-a-set.html We are open to singers and players at all levels from beginners to advanced players. Or you can just sit back and enjoy the music. There is a $5.00 fee for players. See you there if you can make it, it is usually a bit of fun, and should be a great day.

Why Singing and The Uke?

The ukulele is the happiest, most accessible, and easiest string instrument to learn and is therefore the perfect sing along instrument . Simply put the ukulele is fun to play and easy to sing with!

Even if you are an absolute beginner, the chances are we will have you playing your first simple song in less than 5 minutes. You can then start working your way through the various songbooks etc on the website, though you will need to join the group to access the growing database of learning aids and songs available via the Pages button.

Playing a musical instrument is a lot of fun, playing with a group of like minded enthusiasts is even more fun, so why not come and give it a go, it is free to join.

What You Should Do:
