umBristol Talks - November 2017
Details
Following the excitement of this year's Umbraco UK Festival, join us for this month's talks hosted near the harbourside in central Bristol...
Talks:
Thomas Morris: a quick Umbraco news roundup.
Lee Kelleher: "Fractal Rock" - Design agencies are embracing frontend design systems, (e.g. styleguides, pattern-libraries, component-libraries - call them what you will). Lee will be showing you a real-world example of a component-library called Fractal and how this can be seamlessly integrated with Umbraco.
Callum Whyte: "A Deep Dive Into .NET Core" - find out how The Cogworks skilled up on .NET Core in just one day by building a facial recognition app using Microsoft Cognitive Services, with demos/Umbraco treats along the way.
Also, have your questions ready for our panel...
Ask the Panel: a Q&A session with Lee Kelleher (famous Umbraco MVP), Tristan Thompson (contract .NET developer), Karl Tynan (front end developer) and Karen Fynn (technical delivery manager).

The talks will be hosted at the offices of Gibe Digital (https://www.gibedigital.com/talk-to-us/), just off Gas Ferry Road (through car park, follow signs for Gibe Digital), near the SS Great Britain and Spike Island.
Nearby residential parking is free after 5:30pm, with other car parks and bike areas also close.
We usually finish around 8:30/9:00pm, with a few drinks after in a nearby pub for those wishing to stick around.
