Paul Johnson - Umbraco + SQLite: what, why & how

We're excited to have a Paul Johnson with us to talk about SQLite in Umbraco. Paul works for Umbraco HQ and has been a key member of the team making this happen.

Paul Johnson - The story of Umbraco + SQLite so far

Umbraco has shipped using SQL CE as its in-file database for a long time. With Umbraco 10, the CMS moves away from SQL CE to SQLite. SQLite is a cross-platform, file-based database used everywhere; on phones, clientside in web browsers, in most tv set-top boxes, etc. It's likely used more than all other database engines combined.

Paul will show us the implementation of SQLite for Umbraco 10, how it will work, how it's built, and the fantastic things that will now be possible.
