Erica Quessenberry: Avoiding the Common Dev Handoff Pitfalls
Erica Quessenberry, a UX/UI Designer & Frontend Developer at Red Designs, will discuss the push and pull between design and development—a source of tension that surprisingly few talk about, even though it affects budgets, timelines, and project energy. This session will cover the most common issues faced during handoffs and what designers and developers can learn from each other to ease that tension. The goal is to create more positive and streamlined workflows, providing better experiences for end users, content editors, and managers alike.
Lisa Matthews: Accessible Design, Neurodiverse Designer
As a neurodiverse content professional working in digital design, Lisa Matthews often encounters products and services that leave her exasperated and bamboozled. Her design journey began with Windows 95, and the increasing complexity of IoT and software ecosystems has significantly influenced her approach to design and her experience as an end-user of tech. At Nexer Digital, Lisa works with a team to better understand and overcome user experience (UX) challenges. In this talk, she’ll share personal insights and highlight examples of great functionality that empower not just neurodiverse users but everyone.
