Join us at Shout Digital HQ for the next Newcastle Umbraco Meetup!

We’re bringing together the brilliant Umbraco community from across the Northeast for another evening of knowledge sharing, technical talks, pizza, drinks and plenty of conversation.

Whether you’re an experienced Umbraco developer, work with the platform day to day, or you’re completely new to the community, everyone is welcome.

What to expect

  • Engaging discussions: Hear from experienced members of the Umbraco community, sharing practical knowledge, ideas and real-world experiences.
  • Community building: Meet other developers and digital professionals from across the region, share ideas, ask questions and make new connections.
  • Inclusive environment: You don’t need to be an Umbraco expert to come along. Whether this is your first meetup or you’ve been part of the community for years, we’d love to see you there.

Agenda

18:00 – Pizza, beer and socialising
18:25 – Welcome
18:30 – Talks begin

Speakers and topics

We’re delighted to have two fantastic speakers from the Umbraco community joining us.

Headless Publishing with Umbraco Automate: Callum Whyte – Umbraco & Microsoft MVP

What if Umbraco could be the engine that publishes content to just about anything? Callum will demonstrate extending Umbraco Automate for headless publishing – from a static-generated site with a custom queue-based trigger for batching content changes, to push notifications and beyond. He'll also share some tips around how different front-end and delivery technologies might influence the publishing strategies you choose.

A Path to AI Orchestration & Automation within Umbraco Development: Matthew Wise – Umbraco MVP

The goal: ticket to pull request while you sleep.
Going through how to setup a project, to use Jira automations and Claude routines to deliver the solutions you need.

Not everything is solvable yet sometimes you still need to work locally, so I’ll show you how I work on multiple tickets at once using git worktrees, SQLite and uSync/Umbraco.Deploy.

The result is a practical checklist. Whatever your stack looks like this is possible. Here's what must be true before you can hand a ticket to an agent and get back a reviewable, Umbraco-aware pull request.

Interested in speaking?

We’re always keen to hear from people who would like to share something with the community.

You don’t need to be a seasoned conference speaker. If you’ve solved an interesting problem, built something you’d like to demonstrate, learned something others could benefit from, or simply have an idea you’d like to discuss, drop us a message or comment on the event page.

The Newcastle Umbraco Meetup is about creating a friendly space where people can share knowledge, learn from each other and get more involved in the wider Umbraco community.

Come along, grab some pizza and a drink, meet some new people and talk all things Umbraco.

We look forward to seeing you there!
