19:00 - Talk 1 - "DocTales: Collaborative documentation for Umbraco and Astro JS" by Richard Jackson

• Astro JS has been a hot topic at recent Umbraco events, yet the official Astro documentation has yet to include a specific guide for Umbraco usage. Seeing a gap in the market (there’s literally a space on the Astro docs just WAITING to have a guide added) I decided to spend part of my time at Umbraco Spark’s Hackathon looking into writing the docs. That idea has escalated somewhat and has been a genuinely fascinating experience which I would like to share with you all.
• This talk will also give demonstrations of tools such as the Content Delivery API, the Delivery Api Extensions package and the OpenAPI CLI generator, alongside discussions around documentation practices, collaboration, and the inevitable presence of Typescript.
• This talk owes a huge debt to the blogs and efforts of Louis Richardson, Rick Butterfield, Laura Neto, Kenn Jacobsen and Adam Prendergast.

The meetup will be hosted at Method4 Ltd, Trade Street, Cardiff, CF10 5DT, which is a less than 5-minute walk from Cardiff Central train station.

Parking options

• There is on-street pay & display (free after 6pm) parking at Trade Street, although spaces can be limited during work hours.
• Cardiff Central Train Station car park ~ less than a 2-minute walk.
• John Lewis Car Park ~ 8-minute walk.
• St David's / Dewi Sant car park ~ 12-minute walk.
