Let’s start the week out right with a Monday sunset hike! Join Julie, a naturalist, for a general nature hike. All welcome, but this is a long hike and we'll need to keep a good pace, so this hike is recommended for older kids and adults. The plan is to hike a 5-mile loop, starting in Schenk Forest, hiking along Richland Creek, hopping on a short stretch of greenway, entering Umstead State Park on the Reedy Creek MUT, hanging a right on the Loblolly Trail, passing Richland Lake for sunset, and returning to the greenway to get to the Schenk Forest parking lot. Please make sure to dress for the weather and trail conditions. Packing water and snacks is recommended. *Meet at the entrance to Schenk Forest.

We look forward to seeing you then! Please let us know if you have any questions in the meantime. This is part of a series of Monday Sunset hikes, generally on the first Monday of every month.
