**Volunteer to help at our Spring Native Plant Sale!! Here is the link to choose a time slot to help out: https://umsteadcoalition.org/event-6521550**
Saturday, April 18 | 12–3pm, Reedy Creek entrance, Umstead State Park — 2100 N Harrison Ave, Cary
Event info:
Every spring and fall, we partner with local growers — including Umstead's own Ranger Nick — to offer a carefully selected collection of locally grown native plants: perennials, shrubs, grasses, ferns, and trees that support pollinators, birds, and healthy ecosystems. Each plant is selected because it belongs in a Piedmont garden.
Here's a quick look at some of what we have this year:
-Flowers: swamp milkweed, cardinal flower, purple coneflower, blazing star, and blue mistflower.
- Shrubs and trees: elderberry, winterberry, Virginia sweetspire, witchhazel, red buckeye, and pawpaw.
- Back by popular demand: pink muhly grass, sensitive fern, and dwarf azaleas.
Flowers start at $10, and 1-gallon shrubs start at $20. See the full plant list and pricing at: umsteadcoalition.org/event-6521549 No registration required, but an RSVP helps us prepare.
**Members receive early access from 11am–noon. Not a member yet? Membership starts at $15: umsteadcoalition.org/join-us.**
As always, 100% of proceeds support Umstead State Park.
This is one of our most popular events of the year. Come see why!
