Slakes will be playingng on Main Street.

This is the closest you are going to get to a good old fashioned downtown Christmas celebration and parade. In addition to the parade {which starts at 4:30} many of the store windows will be decorated for the holidays, there will be a hot chocolate contest, live street music a festival of wreaths and trolley rides to the drop in craft fair at the Booth mill. And at 6 PM Santa will throw the switch and light up City Hall and the Streets of Lowell for the Holidays.

Let's plan to meet at 4 PM at the visitors center on Market St and figure out if we want to stay together after the parade to get something to eat at one of the local pubs or restaurants and make a toast to a happy holiday season. Last year we toasted in the holiday season at Cobblestones)
If you are going and would like to carpool let me know. If you are going separately, please note there will be a lot of parking restrictions in Lowell, but if you are parked in one of the Lowell garages by 5 PM parking will be free.
