Where to Find Fabric
It is harder to find fabric these days, but don’t worry! We got you! Here are some sources for fabrics:
- Big Box Stores: Michaels and Walmart both sell fabric. We recommend quilting cotton for this project, which is the most abundant type of fabric you can find.
- Thrift Stores: You can use any sort of woven fabric for this project as long as there is no stretch. Be creative! Use old sheets or curtains from the thrift store! Remember: You only need 1 ⅛ yard of fabric for this project, so if you get a sheet there will be a lot of fabric left.
- Cottonwood Quilt Shop: Cottonwood is a quilt shop in Severna Park, about two miles from Unallocated Space on Benfield Blvd. They are partnering with Unallocated to give a 10% discount to people interested in taking the class. Interested? Email [thea@unallocatedspace.org](mailto:thea@unallocatedspace.org) for a voucher to claim your discount. Cottonwood can be found at 548 Benfield Road Severna Park, MD 21146 and online at cottonwoodinthepark.com
We have limited supplies for this class. If you would like to use our supplies, please consider making a small donation to Unallocated Space.
Don’t have a sewing machine? We have three machines you can use during the class. Please email [thea@unallocatedspace.org](mailto:thea@unallocatedspace.org) and let us know if you need to use one. Reservations for a sewing machine will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
