TOPIC: Are online marketplaces right for you? How can marketplaces turbo-charge your sales?

This month, UNBOX will welcome Tim Davies - Online Retail Strategist at ZELLIS (via Zoom).

Tim will be covering each marketplace (eg. Amazon, eBay, Catch, Alibaba) and the pros and cons of each, plus what we need to consider when contemplating selling on a marketplace, why sellers should consider online marketplaces as a selling platform and what it can mean for your business growth. Future trends, historical statistics ... you name it, Tim is the guru!

As usual, we'll kick off at 6pm with networking over sponsored gourmet pizza and craft beer / soft drinks. Speaker (via Zoom) and Q&A will run from 6.30 to 7.30pm followed by time for more networking over drinks.

TIM DAVIES
Online Retail Strategist, ZELLIS

Sometimes called ‘Mr eBay’, Tim is President of the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance in Australia (PeSA Australia) and Chair of the Marketplaces Council at Retail Global. He is not only a wealth of knowledge on ecommerce, but also highly commercial and strategic. With over 25 years of hands-on experience in management and start-ups, accounting, marketing, communications and governance, Tim is keenly aware of what it takes to succeed.

Working at eBay, Tim achieved 40% YoY growth across a $100m portfolio of sellers before being appointed eBay Manager of Seller Education & Engagement. He launched eBay Seller Academy in 2010, and eBay Seller Training Courses in 2013. Tim has assisted hundreds of businesses grasp and rise to the challenges of eCommerce in the eBay marketplace and beyond.
