UNCHAIN Meetup November 2018

Liebe Cryptonauten,

macht Euch bereit für unser nächstes Meetup in nur zwei Wochen! Die UNCHAIN Convention kommt 2019 nach Berlin (13.-14. Juni, www.unchain-convention.com) und wir laufen uns mit spannenden Meetups warm, bei denen es auch etwas zu gewinnen gibt.

Zu Gast am Mittwoch den 28.11. ab 19 Uhr wird Alexander Roos sein, der unter der Themenüberschrift „Privacy Coins“ für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene einen Vortrag über die Funktionsweise von Monero hält, gefolgt von einer Q/A-Session.

Alexander begeistert sich für „pure“ Kryptowährungen wie Bitcoin und Monero, gibt professionell Monero-Workshops und ist u.a. Redakteur für BTC-ECHO. Monero (XMR) ist eine Kryptowährung, die einen stärkeren Fokus auf Privatsphäre (Anonymität) und Dezentralisierung legt, als z.B. Bitcoin.

Einen Ausblick auf die Kryptographie der Zukunft gibt uns i1skn, Mitglied des Grin Coin-Entwicklerteams. Grin (www.grin-tech.org) ist eine experimentelle Umsetzung des Mimblewimble-Protokolls, die in der ersten Jahreshälfte 2019 produktiv gehen soll. Es gibt dort weder Wallet-Adressen noch wird die Höhe der Transaktionen in der Blockchain festgehalten.

Im Anschluss an den Vortrag findet eine Diskussion zu aktuellen Privacy-Themen statt, an der auch Antony Kaplan, Gründer von Forklog und Jeff Gallas, Gründer von Fulmo teilnehmen werden.

Forklog (www.forklog.com) mit Sitz in der Ukraine ist das bedeutendste, russischsprachige Krypto-Online-Medium weltweit. Meetup is ahead in less than two weeks! Next year, the UNCHAIN-convention will take place in Berlin (13.-14.6.2019, www.unchain-convention.com) and we are warming up for it with exciting Meetups – and you can even win a prize there!

On Wednesday, November 28, 19:00, Alexander Roos will address the topic of “privacy coins” by giving an overview on how Monero works – a lecture suitable for newbies and advanced cryptonauts alike – followed by a Q&A-session. Alexander is all about “pure” cryptocurrencies. He runs Monero workshops and works as an editor for BTC-ECHO. Cryptocurrency Monero (XMR) has a stronger focus on privacy and decentralization than e.g. Bitcoin.

The future of privacy coins will be outlined by i1skn, member of the Grin Coin development team. Grin (www.grin-tech.org) is a „bleeding cutting edge“ implementation of the Mimblewimble protocol and is expected to go live within the first half of 2019. Neither do Grin wallets have an adress, nor will transactions be documented on their blockchain.

After the lectures, we will discuss current privacy topics in a panel to which we will also welcome forklog founder Antony Kaplan and Jeff Gallas, founder of Fulmo.
