What we’re about
A welcoming space for Black atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, and the spiritually curious who’ve stepped away from religion and are ready to just be.
While there are plenty of online spaces for Black atheists and agnostics, it's hard to find each other in person. So, I'd like to build a space for connection, conversation, and community among Black non-believers in the Philadelphia Metro area!
Unchurched & Unbothered (Philly) is for those of us who are no longer in the pews but still value belonging. Expect chill vibes, coffee or cocktails, and honest talk. No sermons, no side-eye, just fellowship with like-minded people.
We’ll:
• Build friendship and community
• Talk about life, meaning, and freedom from belief
• Support one another
• Have fun and celebrate the peace of living authentically
Whether you’re fully secular or still figuring it out, you’re welcome here. Come as you are. Leave feeling seen, heard, and unbothered.
But why is this group private? Many Black nonbelievers aren’t “out,” so this space stays private to protect everyone’s comfort and confidentiality.
