What we’re about
I believe that EVERY gathering should blow you away and allow you to easily open up and connect with others in ways you wouldn't otherwise. Unfortunately, I find most gatherings/events to be boring, generic, forgettable, unfulfilling, or just okay, leaving it up to the guests to make the best of it. That's a sad reality to me, and I think people deserve so much more. Join us as we change the norm and allow more people to experience gatherings whose impressions last for years—not days, weeks, or months.
This group will have a variety of events. But no matter how different each one is, the underlying focus will be on doing something bold to drive a level of authenticity that you won't experience in your everyday life. Events will never be repeated - they are one time only. However, the design for each event (what attendees rarely get to see), will be available to anyone who asks for it, even people who have not joined the group. I only ask that if you reuse/modify an event for public or private use, please let me know that you did and how it went! I'd love to hear about it! P.S. I have previous experience organizing meetup events, so I have a lot of events that I have already hosted - I can share those designs as well if you are interested.
You can think of this group as a platform for social experiments, a cure for your boredom, or an easier environment to be yourself when meeting people. But each event is not a random meetup - it is curated, intentional, and has a specific purpose. I am open to event suggestions, but just know that I will ask you questions to get at the purpose of your idea so that we can make the impression last through its design.
This group is different from others in that each event will NOT be for everyone who is part of the group. Beyond differences in preferences, some events might have purposeful restrictions. Please adhere to them and know that they are part of the event design and not personal. 1 no show will result in removal from the group. It's unfair to others to not show up.
The social contract of this group is as follows: Each event has specific rules/restrictions that you agree to. In return, you will experience something that you've never experienced before. That's the deal :)
