Grief & Loss Circle: Remembering and Healing
Details
This specific circle is dedicated to those who have lost a loved one. Grief can feel incredibly lonely, and this space is designed for you to talk openly about your loss, your memories and the reality of life after they are gone.
What to expect:
- A safe space to share your grief without expectations or timelines. We are here to witness and support, not to fix your pain.
- There is absolutely no pressure to speak if you just want to sit with us and listen.
What to bring:
- A lawn chair or a blanket to sit on.
- Coffee, tea or water for yourself, if you’d like.
Where to meet
We will meet at Liu Xiaobo's Memorial Bench. This is by the tennis courts in the park, close to the 96 street entrance near the BC station — search within Google Maps if you cannot find it. From there, we will choose a quiet space to sit.
Inclement Weather Plan
Because we meet outdoors, we are at the mercy of the weather. I will send out a weather forecast update the night before our meeting so you can plan ahead. A final decision will be sent via the Meetup app 2 hours before our start time. If it rains, we will pivot to Zoom and the link will be posted directly in this event chat.
Important RSVP Note
Spaces are strictly limited to 10 attendees to ensure everyone has an intimate, safe environment. RSVPs will close 2 hours before the event. If your plans change and you can no longer make it, please update your RSVP status as soon as possible so someone else can attend.
