Expat: Talking together about Relational, Emotional, Psychological Challenges

Details
Living far from home - whether in another country or on another continent - brings with it a world of experiences, as well as unique emotional and relational challenges. This event is an open invitation to anyone who has taken the big step of moving abroad to come together and share their honest experiences about what it really feels like.
We’ll explore themes such as:
- Feeling alone, homesick, or disconnected from familiar culture and language
- Managing long-distance relationships with family and friends back home
- Building new connections and finding a sense of belonging in an unfamiliar place
- Adapting to different social norms and ways of communicating
- Facing stress, uncertainty, or shifts in personal identity
This is not a formal lecture—it’s a safe, welcoming, and respectful space to listen, share, and connect. You’re free to speak or just to be there quietly.
Whether you moved recently or years ago, come and meet others who understand what it means to build a life far from home. Let’s support one another, reduce feelings of isolation, and discuss practical ways to care for our emotional well-being as expats.
IMPORTANT: This free event can be of great help to many, so please invite as many people as possible to participate.
