About us
The Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago is a group that is passionate about Chicago's underwater maritime history. Through on-shore research and underwater exploration, we work to bring to life our vibrant maritime heritage. Chicago was once one of the busiest ports in the world, and much of that evidence now lies underwater in the form of our many shipwrecks. If the idea of exploring a 19th century schooner and learning its story sounds interesting to you, we invite you to join.
Our meetup group will allow you to keep informed of our activities and will invite you to attend our monthly meetings and presentations. If you find this group valuable to you, we would then invite you to join as a full member.
