## Welcome to the fifth edition of Writing Hour by Unfold Margins — where we take writing less seriously and more curiously.
## This time, we’re having a dinner edition hosted by our friends at Ginka’s Table!
Ever feel like writing is just for “professionals” or tortured creatives?
Think writing is only for people who know what they’re doing?
It’s time to take back writing creatively.
You don’t need to “be a writer.” You don’t even need to know what to write. Just bring yourself and your curiosity, and see where that leads you.
Bring a little of the French creative spirit with you as we host a night of playing and jamming with words alongside a French-inspired menu with Ginka’s Table.
## What to Expect:
A lightly guided, low-pressure creative writing and exploration session with
- Surprise prompts, tucked into envelopes, draw from various literary references — and this time, they’re themed around the classic “Three Act Structure” you’ll recognise from movies and TV shows.
- Each prompt is designed to be both introspective and imaginative, so your writing can take any form — poetry, prose, or even just a trail of thoughts running through your mind
- A quiet ambience so you can focus, but also lively conversation as we enjoy our meal together
- Pens, papers, stickers and stamps provided — or bring your own notebooks if you so wish
- A full course meal prepared lovingly by our friends at @ginkas.table
- Featuring a French menu with a cheese platter with fruits, nuts, and honey, a hearty bœuf bourguignon in a communal setting, pommes puree made with French butter, and a mousse au chocolat
- (Optional) 2-3 lines of sharing at the end
- Supportive company of people being creative together
💌 No critiques, just play

## About Your Host(s)
***Unfold Margins***
Hello, I’m Georgia. I’ve been writing creatively for more than 15 years now, and one of my secret dreams has always been to host a little literary salon — a space for anyone who’s curious about words, thought provoking ideas, and creative writing.
Writing doesn’t have to be this big, scary thing only “writers” do. Anyone can have fun with it, and learn and play with the craft of writing along the way.
Over the years, I’ve moderated for many a year during SingPoWriMo (Singapore Poetry Writing Month), volunteered as a photographer for the Singapore Writers Festival, and somehow snuck in a minor in creative writing with my English Literature degree. But I’ve mostly kept my creative writing tucked behind the scenes of my day jobs. Unfold Margins is me bringing it back into the light — and I’d love for you to join me.
Ginka’s Table
Ginka’s Table is a cozy home dining concept born out of a love for the simple pleasures in life — good food, with good people. Everything is made from the heart, always prioritising quality and the freshest ingredients.
Hosted by Yumiko, Nic, and their dog, Ginka, it’s a safe space for heartfelt, intentional conversations over good food and drinks. Each episode of Ginka’s Table features a different theme or menu, and this special episode will feature a French menu with hearty bœuf bourguignon in a communal setting. So come with an open mind and heart, it’s going to be a tres bonne soirée.
