How digital agencies & freelancers can work together

Unicorn Factory and Startup Garage are putting on a monthly event series for the Wellington freelance community. We created this event to make it easy for local businesses and freelancers to network and to learn from each other.

In our kickoff event, we will be hearing from Ryan McMillan who runs a Wellington-based marketing agency called Atlas Digital.

Ryan like many of us started as a freelancer but has over the last few years grown his business into an agency that now works with some of NZ's most recognisable brands.

Working with local freelancers was crucial to managing the transition from being a one-man-band to running an agency with multiple employees.

Ryan has kindly offered his time to share this journey with us.

In our 1 hour event, we will be discussing:

• How Ryan started working from himself
• How he managed the transition from freelance to agency
• Why using freelancers is important in the early days of growth
• How to work with agencies if you are a freelancer

And plenty more.

The event will be hosted by our very own Alex Siale.

After the initial 1-on-1 chat between Alex and Ryan, you will be able to ask your questions!

Networking will start at 5.30 pm and the event is going to be at CreativeHQ, which located on Level 1, 7 Dixon Street.
