Neurodiversity in UX, Sam on SAM & Accessibility in GenAI

Details
NEW VENUE ALERT! We're thrilled to be hosted by Roku for this, our latest installment of Unified Diff. Their offices are dead swanky, central and accessible, and they're kindly providing pizzas and drinks, so you really should come along. We'll also have Mark Brereton of Unify Talent on hand to answer all your recruiting-related questions in an informal setting before and after the talks.
Talks:
Neurodiversity in UX: Did you know 15-20% of the global population is neurodivergent? From dyslexia to ADHD and autism, designing for neurodiversity is about creating experiences that work for everyone. Gemma Helyer of Box UK explore how cognitive diversity impacts digital interactions, bust myths about neurodivergence, and share actionable tips to design more inclusive products.
Sam on SAM: Sam Toland will be taking a look at how Bipsync is enabling developers to build and deploy serverless applications by providing golden paths with tools like AWS SAM and talking about challenges with observability, documentation and local development.
Breaking down the barriers to accessibility with Generative AI: Signapse aims to increase accessibility to sign language and open up the world for the Deaf community using the power of AI. In this talk, VP of Engineering Alex Le Peltier will go over how Signapse achieves this and what the future has in store.
Agenda:
18:00: Official start time — feel free to turn up beforehand and have something to eat or drink.
18:20: Talks begin.
20:00 Official end — feel free to stay around and socialise.
Unified Diff is brought to you by Bipsync. We thank the wonderful Unify Talent and Steve Cormie and pals from Roku for their kind sponsorship of this event.
And remember, we need speakers to make this work! If you'd like to speak at the next Unified Diff, please let Heather or Craig know.
