Stream-processing with Samza at skyscanner / Introducing Samsara

Details
We're very excited to announce our first meetup of the new year, with two great speakers:
Stream-processing with Samza at skyscanner
Joseph Francis from skyscanner (http://www.skyscanner.net/) will be speaking about their experiences operating Samza (http://samza.apache.org/) (with Yarn (https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/current/hadoop-yarn/hadoop-yarn-site/YARN.html) and Kafka (http://kafka.apache.org/)) for streaming analytics.
Streaming analytics made easy with Samsara
Unified Log London regular Bruno Bonacci will introduce Samsara Analytics (https://github.com/samsara/samsara), an open-source attempt to simplify real-time analytics by combining powerful products like Apache Kafka and Elasticsearch (https://www.elastic.co/products/elasticsearch) and adopting simple processing patterns with a modern data-oriented language such as Clojure (http://clojure.org/).
The system is the combined experience of two solutions that Bruno has built for Tesco's Hudl tablet, and Channel4 video on demand. Bruno will detail architectural choices and processing patterns which make Samsara ideal for large volume streaming analytics.
