Abstract

Kubernetes is an open-source container-orchestration system for automating computer application deployment, scaling, and management. It was originally designed by Google and is now maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Kubernetes has become the defacto system to manage distributed applications. We will give a short introduction to Kubernetes and how IdeaNova is using Kubernetes to schedule cloud workloads. Bring your questions, comments and experiences to share during the discussion which is to follow after the presentation.

As our January general meeting, this will also be our Annual meeting where half of our board member slots will be up for election. Currently no one other than the current board members for those slots have asked to be on the ballot. Unless someone asks to be added to the ballot, we will ask for a voice vote to re-elect those current board members.
