Dear Union Square Photography friends,

Hollywood lighting is an art form in itself, meticulously designed and executed to enhance the visual appeal of films and create a mesmerizing atmosphere. This carefully orchestrated play of light and shadows not only illuminates the actors and sets but also sets the mood, emphasizing emotions, and guiding the viewer's attention. Whether it's the soft, romantic glow of a candlelit dinner scene or the intense contrast of a suspenseful thriller, Hollywood lighting plays a pivotal role in bringing cinematic narratives to life, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary with its creative use of illumination.

I'd like to invite you to this workshop on Hollywood Lighting.

In this workshop, we re-enact the lighting of famous photographers like George Hurrell. We will use authentic hot lights, flags, and Gobo's.

It's gonna be very informative and fun!
