### Slow Shutter — Motion, Light & Time
with model Vik
What happens when you stop freezing motion and start shaping it?
In this workshop, we’ll work with slow shutter speeds, combining ambient light with strobes to create images where movement becomes part of the image itself—blur, flow, and timing over technical perfection.
Our model Vik is a former professional ballet dancer, and her controlled, expressive movements are perfectly suited for slow-shutter photography. Her ability to repeat motion with precision allows us to explore layered exposures where strobe light anchors the subject while ambient light draws movement through the frame.
We’ll cover:
- Slow shutter techniques (handheld & tripod)
- Mixing strobes with ambient light
- Directing movement instead of static poses
- Using blur as a creative tool
This workshop is for photographers who want to experiment, loosen control, and see motion differently. All levels welcome—curiosity required.
Miss a few frames.
That’s part of the process.

Please note:
This is a fine art session that includes partial nudity. Participants must be 18 years or older. Professional conduct and respect for the model and fellow photographers are essential at all times.
