## Rembrandt Lighting Portrait Workshop (with Model Myrthe)

Join us in the studio for an evening dedicated to one of the most beautiful lighting styles in portrait photography: Rembrandt lighting.

Inspired by the paintings of the great Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn, this classic technique uses a single light source to create dramatic shadows and the signature triangle of light on the cheek. It’s timeless, sculptural, and incredibly powerful for portraits.

During this workshop we will work with model Myrthe and recreate the look and mood of classical portrait painting using modern studio lighting.
Freek will demonstrate the lighting setup and guide participants on how to position the light, direct the model, and refine composition so you can create strong, painterly portraits.

What you’ll learn
• How to create classic Rembrandt lighting
• Working with a single light source
• Positioning your subject for sculptural shadows
• Creating dramatic fine-art portraits

All experience levels are welcome.
