Dance and drag Myrthe

## Dance & Drag — Slow Shutter Workshop with Myrthe
Movement. Light. The moment between moments.
This is not a spray-and-pray session. We're going to slow things down — literally — and learn to paint with time. Dancer and model Myrthe brings raw kinetic energy to the frame. Your job is to capture it, bend it, blur it into something that feels more like a painting than a photograph.
We work with strobes and slow shutter speeds. The strobe freezes. The drag ghosts. The result is yours to craft.
What we'll cover:
- Dragging the shutter — the why, the how, the math
- Strobe sync, rear curtain vs. front curtain flash
- Balancing ambient light with flash power
- Reading movement and anticipating the peak
- In-camera creativity over fix-it-in-post
The details: 📍 Union Square Daylight Studio, NYC 📅 May 23 — 7 to 9 PM 👥 Maximum 4 photographers — intentionally small, intentionally focused 💡 Strobes provided. Bring your camera, a tripod if you have one, and an open mind. 🎭 Non-nude. All ages welcome.

This is a working session, not a demo. You'll shoot, experiment, fail, adjust, and leave with images you couldn't have made before you walked in.
Skill level: intermediate. You should be comfortable shooting in manual mode.
