Stand Up Paddle Boarding on the Tualatin River (Beginner Friendly)

Details
**PLEASE READ**
You'll need to reserve your paddle board using the link towards the bottom of this event description. Paddle board availability may be limited as the weekend gets closer, so try to reserve your board in advance. Also, if you have your own paddle board, feel free to bring it. When you sign up for this event, you'll be asked if you're renting a board or bringing your own. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
With that said...
Along the river's edge of a picturesque park, the shimmering waters of the Tualatin River call out to you on a sunny summer day. Jubilantly bouncing on the surface of the water, your paddle board begs you to jump on.
With a stroke of your paddle, you're off and floating down a river surrounded by lush green trees.
Ducks and geese admire your sleek watercraft as you speed down the river. A bald eagle floats above on a warm breeze, scouting the river for an afternoon snack, and rays of the sun warm your skin, rendering you golden.
This will be a casual, beginner-friendly paddle. But, once you're ready, we'll start the jousting games to see who'll be knocked off their board. Just kidding ;)
If you're a beginner, it's very likely you'll fall off your board a couple times. It's part of the learning process. Expect to get wet.
It's also possible you may not be able to stand and balance at all this time around. If, after a few tries, you're not able to stand up, it's OK to either sit or kneel on the board, and paddle for the duration of the trip. You'll have about 10 to 15 minutes to give standing a shot. We'll have 2 hours out on the water. Most of that time will be spent exploring.
I should mention that I'm not a stand up paddle boarding instructor. But, I will give you all the information I know. Getting good at this mostly has to do with your sense of balance and a small amount of practice. Almost anyone can do it.
So, come out for a paddle boarding journey down the Tualatin River and socialize with a few cool people!
