Celebrate Lunar New Year and win some $$ at Unique Photo.

This Sunday Feb. 22nd is the Lunar New Year's Day Parade - But if you attended this year's night parade- please submit your photos to the link above.

Things to keep in mind:

11am - Lunar New Year Parade Starts at 10th and Spring street.

While we are not doing a formal meetup for this event, I (Todd) will be happy to help anyone that needs any camera advice or assistance with settings during the festival proceedings. -

I'll be sure to wear my Neon Pink Fujifilm hat. I'll be around from about 10:45am - 1pm depending on the cold or my hunger...

Keep in mind some restaurants have great deals during Lunar New Year Celebrations and would be great time to support Chinatown.

Suggestions on items to bring:
**-**Earplugs - There will be firecrackers - Most drugstore and hardware stores have these available with high noise rating -
-Water Bottle- Hydration is important to your health and being.
-hand warmers- it is winter - dress warm!
-Wide angle Lens - 20mm - 50mm
-Telephoto lens 70-200mm
-Smallish camera bag - You will be moving through crowds- try not to have a large bag.
Something that might challenge you would be a Fixed Focal Length lens- Try a 35mm, 50mm, 85mm- or even 105mm with a large aperture - 1.8, 1.4, 1.2 - This would be great for street portraits.
