United Cloud Tech Talks - Backstage Pass: Unlocking Dev Insights

Our second meetup is all about developer experience. This time our speakers are Vojislav Ćuk, a Technical Excellence Evangelist, and Petar Nikolovski, an SRE at United Cloud. Together, they worked on a solution to make developers and devops lives easier.

During this engaging demonstration, we’ll explore how we’ve integrated Backstage into our daily workflows, take a closer look at our tech stack, discuss the key standards that guide us, and showcase the projects utilizing this platform (such as VMS, for instance).

Vojislav Ćuk will share the story of our growth from a small company to a large one, detailing our journey from a monolithic architecture to a microservices approach and how this transformation impacted our development workflow. Petar Nikolovski will introduce you to the general concept of internal developer platforms (IDPs) and guide you on how to implement them. From his personal experiences with the challenges of integrating Backstage to the benefits of its many features, this story has everything you need to get started in the exciting world of IDPs.
