At United Desis, our mission is to create a supportive, purpose-driven community that helps people build lifelong friendships, live healthier lives, discover meaningful relationships, and lead a life of purpose and impact.

Purpose

1. Enable lifelong friendships, reduce loneliness and isolation
2. Create a reliable support system for members
3. Unite all desis under one community (despite our differences in language, appearance, culture, habits, traditions, region, religion, food, etc.)
4. Promote physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing
5. Encourage service, personal growth, and purposeful living
6. Support healthy, intentional relationships rooted in trust, respect, and shared values
7. Mentor the youth to lead a life of purpose, confidence and impact

Membership Criteria

• 21 years and older
• Living in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Is from, or has roots in the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka)

As founders of United Desis, we recognize the needs of the desi community living in the USA, and we want to do our part to help address those. If you believe you are aligned with our Mission, Values, and Purpose, we would love you to be a part of our community.

• United Desis is a safe space for women. For the safety of our community, we only add new members to our WhatsApp groups after meeting them in-person and vetting them.
