Sun Bear Medicine Wheel Ceremony

The UCP Medicine Wheel is a ceremonial center where we can connect with Nature and Spirit. Join us for this ceremony based on Ojibwaa Medicine Man Sun Bear's vision of people from all walks of life gathering in peace and appreciation of the Sacred, both within and around us. We will have chants, drumming, and an opportunity for opening to the Great Mystery and its illuminations. Co-led by Gaines Steer, one of the original creators of the UCP Medicine Wheel, and Mark Smith and Katja Sage.

We will meet on the UCP back deck to smudge, prepare for the ceremony, and enter into non-ordinary time and space. Bring/wear what you need to be comfortable outdoors, and feel to dress in your own ceremonial garb. This event is for adults. Donations 100% support Unity Center of Peace, Chapel Hill, which generously provides our gathering space and programs with the Outdoor Sacred Spaces.
