Imbolc and Full Moon Fire Ceremony
Details
Join us as we celebrate the January Full Moon and Imbolc, a Celtic traditional festival which marks the end of winter and the first stirrings of new life in Spring. Seeds begin to awaken in the ground, and milk flows in mother animals. At Imbolc, we honor the Goddess Brigid (later Saint Brigid), and Her Fires of Inspiration, Craft, and Healing. Writ large, it's a time to honor the Divine Light and the lengthening light days, and the kindling of life force and vitality on Earth and in our lives.
Bring candles (7-day variety works well) to bless, a poem, song, chant, reading,or your own inspiration related to the season. We will be making Brigid's crosses, traditionally woven to protect the home and bring abundance and blessings in the coming year.
