Unity Hike to Dillon & Benham Falls Aug 2025

Unity monthly hikes continue! This month we’re headed to Dillion and Benham Falls.

This is a beautiful trail is mostly shaded along the river between Behnam Falls and Dillon Falls and is mostly flat with some mild up and down sections. You can walk/hike as long as you like and decide when to turn around. This is a very popular area for birding and hiking, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. We’ll begin near a boat put-in along the Deschutes River just upstream of Dillon Falls. After enjoying the views at Benham Falls, retrace the same route back to the start point. All ages are welcome. Bring water, sun protection, snacks, and walking poles if needed.

Carpool options –
Tumalo and Redmond people can meet at Unity at 9 AM then head to meet the rest of the group at the Cascades Lakes Welcome Station on Century Drive or at the parking lot just above Dillion Falls.

Bend people can meet at the Cascades Lakes Welcome Station on Century Drive is across the street from the turn-off at Dillon Falls Road.

Directions to the Dillion Falls parking area: Take Century Drive 0.5 miles past ‘Seventh Mtn Resort Turn left on Dillon Falls Rd, which changes names to Conkin Road and is also called NF-41 In 2.5 miles, Turn left onto FS-600 which dead-ends at parking lot.
