"Birth Without Possession: The Tao of True Nourishment"

Details
Join us for a reflective and enriching discussion on Chapter 10 of the Tao Te Ching, where Lao Tzu invites us to consider the art of effortless action, inner stillness, and leading without controlling. Together, we’ll unpack the poetic wisdom of this chapter- through a perspective of "giving birth and nourishing"—asking what it means to “nourish the soul without possessing it” and how we might embody presence, clarity, and compassion in our everyday lives. Whether you're new to the Tao or a longtime seeker, this conversation will offer space for insight, connection, and inner balance.
This is event is part of a series of participative classes for ten weeks presented to the Metaphysical Group. We will use the Stephen Mitchell translation. Both the clear and the mysterious guidance in the Tao te Ching will be discussed in depth. Clarity gives birth to peace. In peace we experience love.

Tao Te Ching (pronounced, more or less, Dow Deh Jing) can be translated as The Book of the Way.
The author's name, Lau-tzu, in Chinese means, roughly, "the Old Master" or "the Old Boy." He cared deeply about the welfare of one's fellow human beings. His book is, among other things, a treatise on the art of government, whether of a country or a child.
