How to Pray (according to Meister Eckhart)
Details
Meister Eckhart lived around the year 1300 in Germany.
Ramana Maharshi lived in twentieth century India.
These two men are what we call religious mystics.
The mystics of all traditions speak one and the same language, the language of religious experience. Religious experience is simply our awareness of communion with the Ultimate. It’s as common as a peak moment of awareness which overwhelms us unawares.
- Meister Eckhart calls the Ultimate “God”.
- Sri Ramana calls the Ultimate “Self” — and insofar as man resides in his Self, he is not only contained in God, but is God Himself.
Steve Marcom will facilitate as we journey together exploring the language used by these two men to describe the indescribable.
