BE LOVE on a Good Friday: A Living Story
Details
A sacred evening of reflection, music, story, and communion
On the holy day we call Good Friday and during the entire Holy Week, there is a collision between love and fear, courage and power, forgiveness and betrayal.
It is a story you may have heard many times. During Unity’s Good Friday service, you are invited to step inside it.
On this special evening, we will enter the Last Supper and Good Friday in a way that invites you to remember it, reimagine it in both ancient and modern times, and most of all to experience it within your own being.
What you will witness is not a replacement of the biblical narrative, but a reflection of its living truth. The characters you will meet are not only figures from history; they are archetypes within each of us.
It is a journey into the heart and the embodiment of Christ consciousness that includes immersion in sacred art and the ritual of communion, metaphysically understood.
Hosted by: Kristin Powell, Cyndee Thiara & Olivia Robie, featuring artwork by Delia Flores & inspiring music by Jonathan Atleson and Lisa Snortum-Phelps.
This sacred evening is part of Unity's monthly first Friday "Be Love" observance. It is offered on a freewill donation basis, with $33 suggested and most gratefully appreciated. You may donate online in advance or afterwards at https://www.unityofwalnutcreek.org/give
