# Tunnel Canyon and Birdhouse Ridge Trail Loop
This is an enjoyable trail through the juniper and piñon forest of Cedro. As you make your way through Cibola National Forest, you'll be rewarded with beautiful views over the Sandia Mountains and Cedar Crest in the distance.The trail is well-marked, and there are several rocky areas along the way. The first half of the route is uphill, followed by a gradual descent for the remainder of the hike. If you're here during the season, you'll see many wildflowers and blooming cacti.
3.75 miles moderate, with about a 750 ft. elevation gain. Bring water, lunch/snack, sun protection, hiking shoes. Partially shaded.
