Austin Unity User Group: Community Micro Talks Night

Talk Summary:
This meetup will be a little different than our usual format. Instead of a single featured speaker, we’re opening the floor to the community. Attendees are invited to give short, 6-minute micro talks on any topic related to Unity or the game industry.

If you’re looking for ideas, here are a few example topics. These are prompts, not limits.

• Deliver a short presentation on a Unity project you’re currently developing. This can include a prerecorded demo.
• Discuss a game design choice you’re passionate about from a game you enjoy, either positive or negative.
• Talk about a game industry trend you care about, whether you see it as a win or a concern.
• Highlight a game you love and why you think it’s been especially influential.
• Quickly demo a Unity feature, tool, or workflow you think is worth showing off, especially if you use it in a unique or creative way.

Don’t let these prompts limit your creativity. The main thing we care about is that your topic is Unity or game industry related and fits within the 6-minute timeframe. Outside of that, go wild.

If you plan to show gameplay or project demos, all demo footage must be prerecorded to help keep the event running smoothly.

Event Details:
We strongly encourage attendees to bring in their Unity projects to workshop and receive feedback from peers during this event.

We encourage our community to bring any playable demos of their game to this event. Feel free to share and get feedback on your projects before and after the speaker portion of the Meet-up.

RSVPs for this event are required to ensure building security and that we order enough food for all participants
