Multiplayer Prototyping in Unity 6 with Unity's: Esteban Maldonado
Details
This is the Las Vegas home for Unity users or those interested in learning about the Unity game engine.
This month, we're thrilled to host Unity Evangelist: Esteban Maldonado in person!
Esteban will present a demo showcasing the new multiplayer tools in Unity 6 and how it helps users to quickly create a networked scene, which helps them focus more on the gameplay, and not the repetitive boilerplate code of lobby session management. Users will see how these tools can be applied to convert a 2D platformer scene into a shared multiplayer experience.
Here is the GitHub repo he'll be demonstrating: https://github.com/UnityTechnologies/2D_Platformer_Template_Multiplayer
It is not mandatory but we highly recommend bringing a laptop with Unity installed so you can follow along. You can download Unity for free at their website: https://unity.com
If you're new to Unity then we highly recommend reviewing these tutorials that show how to install Unity and introduce you to the editor.
