This is the Las Vegas home for Unity users or those interested in learning about the Unity game engine.

Getting perfect lighting in the Unity engine can be a real challenge. There are tons of setting that are located in a lot of different areas. From render pipeline settings to renderer features to many others. Each item can have dramatic effects on the final lighting results. We'll be reviewing all of those steps to help you to get the most out of Unity 6's robust lighting abilities. And we'll discuss adding light probes so dynamic objects in your scene can also pick up the lighting wherever they are in the scene.

Our discussion will be pulling heavily from UGuruz's great YouTube tutorial on lighting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9jjD0-4e1Y) as well as some of Unity's tutorials including their "How to: Excellently Light a Scene with Unity's Universal Render Pipeline"

If you want to follow along then please make sure you're running any version of Unity 6. And download the free asset: "Modular Victorian City" from the Unity asset store (https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/environments/historic/modular-victorian-city-312660).

If you're new to Unity then we highly recommend reviewing these tutorials that show how to install Unity and introduce you to the editor.
