Vancouver Unity Games June Meetup

Details

Hi Devs,

June's Unity meetup will be short and sweet featuring speakers from our group. They'll show off their latest projects. So join us for a fun night of learning and networking!

Thanks to Vancouver Film School for providing the venue.

See you on June 21st!

What to expect

• Tim from East Side Games will be talking about creating Domain Specific Languages (or "Scripting Languages") for Unity. He'll introduce the motivation for creating your own languages, and the tools GPPG and GPLEX that can be used to make it possible.

• Ava from SFU will be showcasing "Meant to Play - Class of 2016-2017" a group of mini games, currently consisting of a dance rhythm game and an endless running game.

• Yggy from Blackbird Interactive teaches us how to keep the massive amount of state information in a multiplayer RTS game synchronized across a peer-to-peer network (with examples and screenshots from Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak).
