Deep dive on the Enemies video - June 2023
Details
It’s been a while!
We are a new group, putting some time in after-hours to create a space for the local creative community to connect and inspire each other. We are starting small, to gauge interest and see what direction works best with this group.
For this event we have Mark Schoennagel providing a full breakdown of how the Enemies cinematic was made, from 4D capture to final render!
Unity’s senior developer advocate Mark Schoennagel will be taking us on a deep dive into the Unity Editor to show how the award winning cinematic Enemies was created. Mark will show how 4D capture was used to create the protagonist “Louise” and how new technologies like hair, skin tension, the new HDRP eye shader and the skin attachment system was created to achieve the photo-real visual fidelity in the Enemies video. We will also see how Unity’s Ziva Face Trainer system was used to create an AI version of Louise for lightweight real-time facial animation. Anyone interested in character animation, photo realistic rendering or Unity in general will want to attend!
The event will be hosted in our Hamilton street office, which has lift access. Please let me know if you have specific questions regarding accessing the event.
We will be providing pizza and drinks, more details on that to follow.
Finally, feel free to bring your video/application to showcase during the chat & connect phase of the event. Please ensure whatever you bring works offline (be it a video or a game/application), as we cannot provide access to our guest wifi this time around. We look forward to seeing what you are all cooking up as we often share your public videos on our internal Slack channels!
We’ve been talking about hosting this event for a few months now, so we’re excited that we can finally invite you all. We look forward to seeing you soon!
