Change is an inevitable part of our lives, whether it is sudden or expected. We resist it because of fear, but it continues never the less. Our challenge is learning how to go “outside the box,” embrace it, and grow because of change. Through FAITH, we experience higher understanding of ourselves and situations around us.

We will look at 3 stages of the transition process which, when understood, will serve as a valuable tool used throughout our lives.

The stages are:

  1. Endings

  2. The Void

  3. New Beginnings

Objectives: Students will be able to:

· Develop confidence by embracing change with a positive, broader outlook

· Explore spiritual opportunities

· Identify the stages of the process

· Develop a deeper, more knowledgeable relationship with God

· Set goals for themselves to start new beginnings

Text book:Finding Yourself in Transition: Using life’s changes for spiritual awakening, by Robert Brumet, which will be available in our bookstore. SEE students will receive 10 credits for an elective course.
