Dinner at Mac's "Local" Eats
Details
I know, 99% of my meetups are in University City. I don't like driving super far after work. But Mac's Local Eats got me with this one. They advertised to me the burger they call the "snowman". Eight 2 oz patties. That's a pound of meat. Add in the grease, cheese, and whatever else, and we're looking at 2000 calories of all American gluttony.
No, not all of their burgers are like this. They're mostly normal sized. But I have a problem with this one. Not with its unhealthiness, or wastefulness, or carbon footprint... my problem is that we all know that snowmen have three parts: the head, the thorax, and the butt.
I've never seen an 8 part snowman. This is a terrible name for this burger. Other, more appropriate names:
Doc Ock
Octomom (or is the "mom" the line cook that makes these? Is it the octuplet burger?)
The Eight Stages of Beef
Octothorp (Get it? Because its a pound of meat?)
Tragic 8 Gall
Gr-eight Gaspy
Meat Cute
