Subject Matters: Oops, we collected a photo! Now what?
University of Michigan Museum of Art, 525 S State St, Ann Arbor, MI, USUMMA’s first photographs entered the collection by accident in 1940. Then…. Nothing, until 1971! 📷 ✨
For this special Subject Matters event, you’ll learn the story behind UMMA’s earliest photography “oopsies” and have a chance to compare them with the bold contemporary works shaping the collection today.
