The University Toastmasters Club. The best kept secret in personal development!

Details

Toastmasters. Yes, the international organization that promotes self-confidence in public speaking and leadership skills. Fun fact: Toastmasters membership exceeds 332,000 in more than 15,400 clubs in 135 countries. Yes, that's a lot of Toastmasters. All that with NO national advertising. How is that done you ask? Mostly by word of mouth and people looking for solutions. Looking to find a way to overcome the fear of speaking in public. To gain confidence in public settings. To learn how to manage meetings, lead teams, be great at job interviews or just get along with loved ones. Toastmasters can help develop your people skills. Not completely but far better than you can do on your own. All you have to do is get involved and participate in the program in a highly supportive atmosphere. It's not for everyone though. We don't tolerate troublemakers or idiots well. If you are serious about your personal growth, want to play nice, don't run with scissors and can accept being coached, you should consider checking us out to see if Toastmasters is for you. Perhaps the most difficult thing to do is walking through the door as a guest and discovering what it is really like. If you can do that, you can succeed in Toastmasters because after getting the courage to attend, the rest is easy.
