Next Sunday, we're stepping away from our screens and spending a few hours off the ground trying out rope climbing.

Never climbed before? That's completely fine ☻

We'll be climbing with harnesses, making it a beginner-friendly way to try it, without needing previous experience. New guests receive a basic instruction, which is included in the entry ticket.

So whether you've climbed before or you're completely new to it, come along and give it a try.

🧗 what you'll learn
As part of the basic instruction, the trainers will introduce you to:

• how to use your climbing equipment
• basic belaying techniques
• your first steps on the wall
• how to use the auto-belay system
• the different climbing opportunities in the hall

📌 what to expect
We'll meet at Kelenföld station and head together to Spider Club in Budaörs to spend the afternoon climbing at our own pace.

It's a great chance to try something new in good company, move your body, meet some people, and spend a few hours offline.

10:20 - meet at Kelenföld vasútállomás
10:37 - take bus 88A together to Spider Club in Budaörs
11:05 - arrival, check-in and settle
11:30 - 16:00 - rope climbing & hanging out

The climbing ticket is valid for the entire day, so you're welcome to stay longer if you'd like.

💰 contribution
This event has a participation fee of 400 HUF. It is free if you have a monthly membership.

Payment is preferred via the links below rather than through Meetup, as Meetup charges fees on both sides.

💸 Spider Club costs
Approximately 6.000 - 7.000 HUF per person
This is paid separately at the climbing centre and gives you access for the whole day.

Included in the above cost to be paid at the venue:
Adult ticket: 3.990 HUF (includes basic instructions)
Climbing shoes rental (size 35-46): 800 HUF
Harness+carabiner+belaying device: 650 HUF
Chalk bag+chalk: 700 HUF (can be shared)
One-time cost of magnetic card: 1.000 HUF (can be reused later)
Total: between 6.440 and 7.140 HUF

🚌 getting there
We'll travel together from Kelenföld station by bus 88A.
Please note that part of the route is outside Budapest, so it isn't fully covered by a regular Budapest public transport ticket.
You can either buy 2 tickets (round trip) in cash with the driver, or you can get a 24-hour Pest County pass for 999 HUF through the MÁV+ app.

👉 a few practical things
👕 Wear sports/comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.
🔒 Bring a padlock for the locker room.
🌯 Bring water and food (there's some available at the venue).
👟 Shoes for climbing are available for rental and included in the estimated price.
🙋 Come alone or bring a friend.
