November 2023 Meet Up

Update: I was hoping to have this event in person this week but I'm not available Thursday night, the original day I had intended for this month's meet up. I didn't want cancel altogether as with the holidays coming up the next open date for me would be in early December.

I know this is very last minute but hopefully you are able to attend this Wednesday Virtually instead.

We don't have a separate Discord channel for San Jose but I'm thinking we can join the Unreal_SF discord and use the #south-bay room for now.

Hi Everyone!

Let's get together and talk about what we'd like to do with this group and what your interests are. I know we've barely started but I'd really like to see if we can get an actively involved community going where we not only hang out, share ideas and experiences but also motivate and inspire each other to do more, learn and improve our skills as well.

During our first meet up I mentioned a few possibilities of how we could actually get together and do an activity together. I was thinking we could try out one of the AI mocap solutions like MoveAI and then see if we can get it working in Unreal. We would need a bunch of iphones, tripod and big enough space to set up. This might actually be better to do on a weekend afternoon when there's more time and the option to go outside?

Another idea is we could use MetaHuman Animator to make a digital version of ourselves.
