Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) & the future of game development

Details

Join us on Wednesday the 10th of May for a deep dive into Epic's brand new development and distribution platform: Unreal for Fortnite (UEFN)!

What is UEFN?
Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) is a new PC application for designing, developing, and publishing games and experiences directly into Fortnite. With many of Unreal Engine 5’s powerful tools and workflows at your fingertips, including custom asset import, modelling, materials and VFX, Sequencer and Control Rig, you’ll have a whole new world of options for producing and publishing games and experiences for Fortnite that can be enjoyed by millions of players.

Agenda
As per usual, we'll start the evening with 45 minutes of networking, socialising and enjoying the FREE non-alcoholic drinks and pizza before moving onto the main presentation.

Your host and presenter for the evening is Sam Ibbitson (Studio Director at Meteor Pixel) who will be drilling into the new platform and exploring questions such as:

  • What makes UEFN different from Fortnite Creative mode or UE5?
  • What types of experiences can you make with UEFN?
  • What are the commercial opportunities with UEFN?
  • What does UEFN mean for the future of game development?
  • And more...

TBC (if time and technology allow): Sam and the Team at Meteor Pixel will attempt to build an experience LIVE and show how easy it is to build and then deploy an experience using UEFN.
