This Lunar New Year, instead of only eating tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings), we invite you to create something you can keep.
In traditional Chinese culture, lanterns symbolize light, reunion, and new beginnings.
Herbal sachets (香包, xiangbao) have been used for centuries — filled with aromatic herbs believed to bring protection, balance, and good fortune.
In this workshop, we combine the two:
We will select herbs and natural fragrance materials based on
• your wishes for the year
• Five Elements energy philosophy
• seasonal rhythm
• or simply your current emotional state
You’ll craft a small paper lantern and place your personalized herbal sachet inside —
turning it into a symbolic object of intention, scent, and care.
Hang it at home and it quietly becomes a reminder:
“A new year has begun. I am supported. I am cared for.”
This is not just a craft workshop.
It’s a soft ritual. A gentle reset.
A moment of making something with your hands while having real conversations.

Material Fee (non refundable)
We charge a small compensation fee to cover high-quality herbs, fragrance materials, and paper lantern supplies. -
Cultural Mix
Most participants may be Chinese, but we warmly welcome an international vibe.
Everything will be explained in English, and cultural background will be shared so everyone can feel included. -
Flow of the Event
• First 30 minutes:
Introduction to Lunar New Year symbolism, paper lantern making, and herbal sachet tradition.
Light ice-breaking to help everyone get comfortable.
• Rest of the time:
Open crafting + free conversation.
You can chat, sit quietly and focus, or move around and connect.
There is no rigid agenda — we adjust based on the group’s energy. -
Group Size
We intentionally keep the group small (around 10–20 people)
to ensure a warm, high-quality social atmosphere rather than a crowded workshop feeling.

材料费用
活动会收取一定的材料费，用于高品质草药香材与纸灯笼制作材料的成本补贴。
语言与氛围
参与者可能以华人居多，但欢迎国际背景的朋友加入。
活动会提供英文讲解，让不同文化背景的人都能理解与参与。
活动流程
• 前30分钟：
介绍纸灯笼与香包的文化背景与制作流程
轻松破冰，让大家彼此认识
• 之后时间：
自由创作 + 自由交流
可以聊天，也可以安静做手作
没有固定议程，我们会根据现场的 vibe 调整节奏。
人数控制
我们会把人数控制在 10–20 人左右，
保证空间的舒适度与更高质量的社交氛围。
